This little hack is easy and maybe you can already do it, but if you aren’t, your toast will be taken to the next level for less than $ 10. I’ve had these little toasting tongs on our toaster for at least 10 years. It’s super practical, can be hand washed with warm water and detergent, and keeps fingers away from the toaster.
There are several types of wooden tongs – I prefer one with a magnet so that it can be kept on the side of the toaster.
This is exactly what I have – it’s from Williams-Sonoma and it’s not in stock until March right now. Here is one that is similar on Amazon. Here is a 2-pack, here is a 2-pack without a magnet, and another with a dark finish. Look for a food that is food safe and uses no finish or a non-toxic finish.
