The Best Way to Document Your Baby’s First Milestones with BabyCube

This post was sponsored by BabyCube, all opinions are our own.

The age-old adage that the days are long but the years are short sums up parenting. That’s why my first piece of advice to new moms is always to suckle every moment with their cute new baby and capture those special moments too! BabyCube is a brand new product that makes it easy for you to write down all the milestones you want to remember in your baby’s first year. At the end of the year you will receive both a digital copy of your notes and printed notes in a beautiful wooden box. In the following I’ll tell you all about it!

What is BabyCube?

Okay, you’re probably wondering what exactly is BabyCube. This is a new product developed by NoteCube who specialize in sentimental and meaningful gifts to make it easy for mothers to capture all the memories from their baby’s first year. Instead of jotting down your baby’s greatest moments in your phone notes (I owe that to you) or worrying about the hassle of collecting a baby book, BabyCube reminds you to write down the great moments in the first year and then put a nice box around them to be kept safe.

How does BabyCube work?

First things first: click here to buy your BabyCube. You can also give BabyCube to someone as a gift. Click the “Buy as a Gift” link to send him a gift card.

Once you’ve bought (or given away) your BabyCube, you can start taking notes right away. I would also like to point out that if your baby is already born, you can fill out notes for the past few weeks. So don’t worry if you start later. You need to fill out 52 notes, one for each week of the first year. It’s set up to be filled out week after week, and at the beginning of the week you will be prompted to suggest that you save it. There is also the possibility to write something yourself.

You can add photos to your timeline alongside each note! Remember, they are printed on card stock, but as long as it is a high quality photo, it will come out fine. I really like the look of the photos printed on the paper used, it gives them a keepsake look.

Did I mention you can fill in anything right from your phone? I recommend simply performing and filling it out once a week during a breastfeeding session or just before bed. Writing these memories down is 100% worth the extra effort. The reason I really love BabyCube is because it’s easy to use! New moms don’t have to add complicated tasks to their to-do list.

Once you’ve completed all of the notes (that is, your baby is turning one year old, time flies by!), Submit your timeline for printing. You will receive your notes in a beautiful wooden storage box that you can personalize with an engraving of your baby’s name and date of birth. Each note is printed on a thick card so you can take it out and flip it over and over again without worrying too much about wear and tear.

The digital timeline

The final product of the notes in the box is really a nice keepsake, but I have to mention one other thing that I really love about BabyCube. As you take your notes, it creates a digital timeline for you. You can share this digital timeline with friends and family so they can keep track of your baby’s first year. This is amazing to those of us who have loved ones who live far away from us or cannot visit often.

Get this, you can allow loved ones to add notes to the box too! There are 20 optional notes that your family and friends can use to text your baby or write down special memories they had with your little one.

That’s what our rookie mom squad thought!

Karissa from our Rookie Mom Squad welcomed her second cute boy in 2020, and the craziness of having a toddler and newborn baby prevented her from jotting down some of the cute milestone moments in a traditional baby book.

When she heard about BabyCube, she took the opportunity to try it out to turn all those iPhone notes documenting her best memories into a beautiful keepsake. As you can see, that’s the great thing about BabyCube! While you can start doing this before your baby is born and write everything down in real time, you have the option of filling in the notes again later. This is so nice because the first few months with a new baby can be a little hectic.

In addition to being able to fill out the note cards at her own pace, Karissa loved the different prompts she gave each week (they’ll also send you weekly reminders to fill out your card!). It makes it so much easier to say things and jot down reminders, especially when you have a picky baby in the background. Karissa loved to capture memories such as how smiling Ryan always was, documenting the growing bond between him and his brother and sweet moments like when he first learned to crawl. These precious memories are now documented for their family to cherish forever, and the storage box they are kept in is absolutely beautiful! We also have to mention that these cards (as seen above) are quite durable so you can go through them and show your little ones without worrying too much about wear and tear.

These memories can be shared with more than just your immediate family! Karissa loved being able to digitally share Baby Ryan’s timeline with friends and family. Your baby is changing so quickly in the first year so this is a great way to keep everyone in the loop! You can also share pictures of the baby this way, providing more privacy than if you shared them on social media.

Take it from the Rookie Mom Squad, this is an incredible way to document your baby’s first year! It’s a keepsake to keep in your heart and something amazing to pass on and share with your little one.

We all want to look back and reminisce about our baby’s first milestones, from the first smile to the first steps and every little thing in between. I’m all about making things easier in the first year of parenting, so I appreciate that BabyCube allows you to capture those moments without wasting time putting together a scrapbook. The lovely wooden box and printed cards are really something that you can cherish for years and even share with your little ones as they get older.
