Are you looking for a gift for the handyman in your life?

When it comes to buying something for someone who seems like they can just do anything they want … it can get a little tricky!

I’m talking about buying a gift for someone who is a handyman. Rest assured, there are MANY great ideas out there that your friend will love.

I recently checked my email list to compile this list and I think there are so many great ideas out there that will fit almost any budget.

Before we get into that though, I thought I’d share a few questions you might want to consider before making a purchase for a handyman:

  • What equipment do you already have? Could you purchase materials or accessories to complement this item?
  • How much space do you have for additional craft supplies, materials and machines?
  • What kind of crafts do you enjoy the most?

You may or may not know the answers to all of these questions and that’s fine! But when you do, it can be a bit easier to make a purchase.

Gift cards

This was number 1 in my survey – gift cards. I know gift cards may seem impersonal, but for someone who is likely to spend a lot of time and money making supplies, this can be the perfect gift.

Here are some popular places you might want to buy a gift card:

  • Amazon
  • Hobby lobby
  • Michaels
  • JoAnns
  • Cricut
  • Home Depot
  • Lowes

Craft desk

A desk or table especially for handicrafts would be a dream for every craftsman. You can find them on Amazon or other retailers like Walmart, Target or Ikea. We’re also big fans of the DreamCart here. Get $ 50 off code CLARKS50 – be sure to read our full DreamCart review!

New chair

Flexispot Soutien ergonomic office chair

Anyone who crafts or sews knows the importance of a good, supportive chair. One of our top picks is the Flexispot Soutien Ergonomic Office Chair. It has a 3D lumbar support, a tilt of 135 degrees and adjustable armrests, which makes it very adaptable.

Amazon also has a wide range of chairs to suit all budgets. However, a chair is an item that the person using it may want to choose for themselves. If you’re not sure what they want, consider creating a gift card that states that it will be used specifically for buying a new chair!

Storage furniture

There are so many storage options – we mention a few different options in this post. 30+ Craft Storage Ideas – An Option for Every Budget. So we encourage you to take a closer look when deciding what to buy.

You can find countless options at Amazon, Target, Walmart, Hobby Lobby or in stores like TJmaxx or Home Goods.

cutting machine

Are you even crafting if you don’t have a Cricut (or other cutting machine)? But seriously, owning a Cricut is pretty important. This would be an amazing gift for someone who doesn’t own one and would love to do so.

We have tons of items that anyone can start using a Cricut with. The silhouette is a pretty solid option too – you can read these articles to help you find the best option for your handyman:

EasyPress machine

These are great little machines, and they aren’t just for vinyl iron-ons! There are 9 × 9 and Mini – both are fantastic!

Glow forge

The Glowforge is certainly in a league of its own – but it’s pretty amazing. This could make a great birthday, Christmas, and anniversary gift … for a few years. 🙂 You can get $ 200 from the PLUS and $ 500 from the PRO when you shop through our referral link.

Dream box

A DreamBox would literally be a dream gift! Check out all of your options here. Use code CLARKS100 to get $ 100 off.

Of course, this would be an expensive gift. However, there are also payment options and financing plans available. You can read our full review here.

Subscriptions

A subscription box is a service where you pay a monthly fee and receive a curated box of various items. There are many craft subscriptions to choose from.

A craft class

Is there a certain type of craft that the person you buy a gift card would love to get better at? Many craft stores have craft courses that you can buy a certificate for – or you can find an online course to sell!
