The 2021 Quick Clean Home Reset

TASK 1: 3 BAGS OFF
Collect 3 bags of things to get out of the house. Collect rubbish, trash, anything that can be donated, recycled, thrown, and deal with it once and for all. Move fast, set a timer if you have to – if you’re motivated to clear more than 3 bags, go ahead!

Task two: donation container
Start a donation container – put it somewhere in yours that is easy to access. If you have an item that needs to be donated, throw it in there. When you have filled the basket, take it to your preferred donation spot.

TASK THREE: SUBSCRIBE
Unsubscribe from junk e-mail and / or junk mail. Try at least 5 of both categories. Once you’ve done this simple task, you can be ready for the day or work on shrinking your email inbox or looking through a pile of emails. Once you get a grip on email and email, you will feel less cluttered and get the week off to a good start.

TASK FOUR: ONLY ONE SURFACE
Clear surface – this can be a tabletop, counter, desk or Christmas decoration. Erasing a surface can make a huge difference in how you feel and how a room works. Do you need to come up with a system to clearly move this forward?

TASK FIVE: PAPER WORK
Create an IN / OUT shopping cart for incoming and outgoing documents. This is a great system to set up at the beginning of the year – a basket for things to deal with and a basket for things to be filed or shipped. Get creative and reuse a folder, reuse a basket, or find a better way to deal with your incoming / outgoing records today!

TASK SIX: PLANNING DAY ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Decide on a day of the week to plan your calendar and menu. I like Fridays – that’s the day I do my menu planning and grocery shopping. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Do you need a planner? Go to Clean Mama Shop for the Homekeeping Planner and other paper products that are perfect for planning your days.

TASK SEVEN: UTENSIL DRAWER ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Clean the utensil drawer – empty, wipe, put everything back. If you don’t use extras or duplicates, donate them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

TASK EIGHT: THE SPICES ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sorting spices – decide on a system for them. Would you like to alphabetize them or divide them by sweet and savory? Would you like to reduce it to the bare minimum? Do some spice sorting and organization today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

TASK NINE: THE MAKEUP ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tweak your makeup – keep the best and sort it by type / use. Keep eye makeup together, creams together, etc.

EXERCISE 10: CONTAINS ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Look for 1-2 boxes that can benefit from a bowl or plate to hold extra items like keys, remote controls, tea bags, lip balm and lotion, etc. Add a plate, basket, or container to keep these items cute and corrupt. ⠀⠀
