We’ve been fans of them for a while and we often get a lot of questions about their quality, customer service and a lot more.

But in this post we wanted to share a four week butcher box meal plan! Once you get your meat you are probably wondering “what should I do with all of this ?!” That’s why we’ve put together a delicious roundup of Butcher Box recipes based on some of their most popular offerings.
Most Popular Butcher Box Cuts
I reached out to Butcher Box to see what their 2020 bestsellers were and they said the most popular options were:
- Minced meat
- bacon
- Ribeyes
- Boneless and skinless chicken breasts
- NY strip steaks
- Unhardened bacon
- Boneless pork chops
- Filet Mignon
- Sockeye salmon
- Top sirloin steaks
After trying most – if not all – of these items, I can confirm their quality and taste. I’m definitely interested in their ground beef and bacon.
I thought about creating the menu from all of these, but decided that if I approached this menu a little differently, I would be able to get more meals for your money.
Meat in this menu
Instead, I decided to make a “big box” that you can replicate. The big box comes with 12 pieces of meat so I chose a variety that I think is easy to cook and that you can get multiple meals out of!
You can easily replicate this box by going into your Butcher Box account, selecting the large box, and then adding the following meat to your box:
- 2 lb. 85/15 ground beef
- 2.25 lb chuck roast
- 3 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast
- 3 pound chicken legs on the bone
- 10 ounces of bacon
- 2 pounds of sockeye salmon
- 5.5 pounds of bone in pork butt
- 4 boneless pork chops
- 2 pounds of ground Italian sausage
- 2 pound steak bites
- 2.8 lb baby back ribs
- 2.5 pound round roast
Below is a meal plan of various recipes – some from Clarks Condensed, others from the Butcher Box website. But it should give you a good idea of what all you can do with your upcoming box.
This meal plan should feed about four people. There are enough recipes to cook five days a week. For the remaining two days you can eat leftovers, choose a meat-free meal, or go out to eat!

Butcher Box Meal Plan
WEEK ONE:
Day # 1 Easy round steak and sauce recipe
Day 2 – Irish Beef Stew (with leftover round steak)
Day 3 – Chicken, Kale, and White Bean Soup (this requires tenders, but you could use a pound of chicken too!)
Day 4 – Sweet and Spicy Steak Bites
Day 5 – Pan-fried cornbread with breakfast sausage (a delicious sauce would go well with it, and maybe a cup of fruit)
SECOND WEEK:
Day 1 – Stew Cheeseburger Casserole – Ground Meat
Day 2 – Deep Dish Bacon and Potato Pizza
Day 3 – Best Case of the Bone Baby Back Ribs
Day 4 – One Pot Chicken Pad Thai Recipe (THE BEST!)
Day 5 – Fried Salmon with Pineapple Salsa
THREE WEEKS:
Day 1 – The Best Instant Pot Pot Roast Recipe
Day 2 – Breakfast sausage scrambled eggs
Day 3 – Marinated Chicken with Garlic and Lemon Butter
Day 4 – ground beef and wild mushroom stroganoff – ground beef
Day 5 – Peach colored BBQ chicken thighs only
WEEK FOUR:
Day 1 – Instant Pot Carnitas and Salad Wraps
