DIY Daily Shower Spray – Clean Mama

July 19, 2021

If you are dealing with lather while showering and / or find that a weekly or bi-weekly cleaning is not enough to keep your shower clean, you may want to add a daily shower spray to your cleaning routine. You can use a pre-mixed daily shower spray or make your own. Today I’m sharing my recipe with you – it smells fresh and clean in the shower, keeps soap scum and mold away, and is super easy to mix and use.

Using a daily shower spray will keep soap scum and mold at bay and make it easier to clean your shower. Start with a clean shower first, then use the daily shower spray to keep foam and mold off.

DIY daily shower spray
With only 3 ingredients, this DIY Daily Shower Spray is my secret for a clean and foam-free shower. I hope you try it out!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup vodka (you can use rubbing alcohol, but I find the vodka works better in this recipe)
  • 1 cup of water
  • 10 drops of essential oil – I love the Calm Home Blend for the bathroom – it’s lavender-eucalyptus and smells like spa
  • Glass spray bottle

Mix and store in a spray bottle. Spray a shower or bathtub daily after you shower. No rinsing or wiping is required. The pictured label and the spray bottle can be found here in my shop. The cloth shown is part of my cleaning cloth set and has a scrubbing side and a polishing side – perfect for removing stubborn soap scum or other difficult spots in your home.

Optional: Use a shower squeegee at the end of your shower after spraying to remove excess water and avoid water stains.
