Day 43 – Homemade Pizza {100 Days of Summer Fun}

Day 43 – Homemade Pizza

Don’t call for pizza to be delivered. Instead, host a pizza night with your kids. You can buy or make your own crust and then top it with pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings of your choice.

Get creative and set up a pizza baking station and let your children’s imagination run wild.

Need a Pizza Dough Recipe – Try my friend Nancy’s recipe after her kids, it’s the BEST

ingredients

¼ c warm water ½ teaspoon salt & 1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 envelope of active dry yeast 1 ¼ c cold water
1 tsp sugar 1 T olive oil
4 cups bread flour yellow corn flour

Directions

Mix the warm water, yeast and sugar in a bowl. Stir to combine. Mix the flour, season with salt, then add the yeast mixture, cold water and oil. Shape into a ball. Knead for several minutes until the dough is smooth. Let the dough rest for 2 to 3 minutes. Put the dough in an oiled bowl and let rise at room temperature for about 1 hour.
Knead the dough, divide into 2 balls. Let rise for another 30 minutes.
Heat the pizza stone in the oven to 500 degrees. Roll out the ball in shaped pizza crust. Sprinkle the stone with corn flour. Place the crust, sauce and topping on a stone and bake for about 10 minutes.
