Day 29 – Backyard Movie Nights
Growing up as a Cali girl, I have countless memories of endless warm summer nights sleeping in our backyards, playing games under the street lights, and drinking as much pop as possible. I’m not sure why we didn’t have the idea of movie nights in our backyards, maybe we didn’t have the right technology, and I’m sure our parents wouldn’t allow us to drag the single-family TV into the backyard, let alone us still needed all of those cable connections with real wire.
Today, with technology and the ability to access myriad family movies online, you can have a fun family movie night in the backyard. The best part is that you can just do this with your family or invite the whole neighborhood. You can serve up plain microwave popcorn or go crazy with all of the fun creative ideas out there online. What really matters are the fun memories you are going to create with your kids this summer.
Here are a few ideas we came up with:
Poplolly Co. uses some fun ideas to create a fun rustic backyard movie night experience.
