5 Must-Have Spring Cleaning Tools – Clean Mama

March 5, 2021

As we prepare for spring cleaning with me this week, preparing our supplies, tools, and washrooms, I thought it would be fun to share my 5 must-have spring cleaning tools. Less is always more when cleaning and especially with spring cleaning. I also want to make sure the tools I use for spring cleaning can do double duty all year round.

Psst! Don’t miss the spring cleaning sale in the shop – it ends on Sunday 3/7/21 at 11:59 PM CST – it’s time to stock up!
I share 5 products I use all year round and look at the best tools for spring cleaning. These tools are just the ones I use over and over again all year round, but when it comes to spring cleaning, they are the power tools to help me with spring cleaning.

Cleaning wipes
I love a good cleaning cloth – they can be washed and reused and, frankly, are easier to clean than wipes and paper towels and are more environmentally friendly and economical. Spring cleaning is all about dusting, scrubbing, wiping – all you need is a great cleaning cloth! I launched the new cleaning cloth kits (pictured below) and loved using them for cleaning. The kit comes in 2 different colors and each kit contains 3 different types of cloths – general purpose, scrubbing and polishing cloths. You can see all cloths + towels in the shop here.

Scrub sponges
Spring cleaning is a deep cleaning, and deep cleaning requires a great cleaning tool. The new foam wash sponges in the shop are just the thing. These washable, reusable sponges cost about $ 2 each and are great for deep cleaning surfaces during spring cleaning. However, they are used on counters, stoves, doors, and almost anything that needs a little scrubbing or wiping. Here you can find the new sponges.

Pull-out duster
Keeping dust out of the house is essential for a clean home, especially if you have allergies. Spring cleaning is THE time for heavy dusting. Use an extendable brush or duster to wipe air vents, lights, corners and edges. Here is a link to one that is similar to the one I use – I LOVE IT! The exact figure is no longer available. 🙁 Another option is to use a large floor / wall washer on the walls to quickly and easily dust and clean them. It can also be used as a quick floor washer. I bought these cotton terry cloth wipes for floors and walls too – they work great!

Vacuum cleaner with attachments
If you don’t have a vacuum cleaner with an attachment now, don’t worry, but when it’s time to buy a new one, make sure you find one with an attachment. You use the attachments all year round for cleaning appliances and furniture, vacuuming furniture, air vents, lights, window treatments and much more!

Steam cleaner
A steam cleaner isn’t a necessity, but it definitely helps with deep cleaning and disinfection. I bought This one here Over a year ago, and after thorough testing and reviews around the house, I can say that it is one of my favorite cleaning products, replacing a few other deep cleansing products.
